Oversaw the full People and Operations function for LA's first life sciences co-working hub, a distinctive environment requiring both traditional HR leadership and the operational agility of a hospitality and community-driven business. Delivered HR compliance, benefits strategy, and organizational design not only for internal staff but for the ecosystem of biotech member companies operating within the space. Produced community engagement programming and philanthropic partnerships with City of Hope and The Lundquist Institute, directly contributing to a 25% membership growth and a strengthened regional life sciences ecosystem.
Joined DoorDash as its first-ever HR employee and built the entire People Operations function from a blank page, establishing the systems, processes, and organizational infrastructure that would underpin the company's growth. Designed and implemented the company's first HRIS, built scalable talent acquisition workflows for both gig and corporate workforces, and stood up dedicated departments across Benefits, L&D, DEIB, and HR compliance. Navigated the complexity of rapid multi-state expansion by overhauling contractor sign-up and compliance strategy, and served as a people strategy partner for the launch of new business verticals including grocery, catering, and Hotspots.
